I read recently that Australia would be the best country to be in in most apocalyptic scenarios. It’s like humanity’s disaster shelter.
Except for I’m lead to believe that everything on Earth that is poisonous originates in some way or another from Australia.
I want to go to Australia anyway.
Ever read or see ‘On The Beach’? It’s about Australia being the last place habitable after nuclear holocaust. I went to school about 5 kilometers from where it’s mostly set, and that book was required reading in year 9.

You could read Jared Diamond’s ‘Collapse’ and realize Australia will probably be the first uninhabitable continent.
